WinterStorm 2024 Video Gallery

Since 2017, WinterStorm has been blessed with the support and talents of Graham Gebbie and his video team.

Over the intervening years, they have recorded and edited live stage performances from almost all of the acts who have performed on the WinterStorm stage and produced promotional material that has been gold dust not only for us at WinterStorm but many of the performances have made it into band videos and promos too.

Okay not everyone has given us the access but we are happy to share those that have and it provides both the WinterStorm regular and those just thinking about it for the first time just a little insight into what makes the last weekend in November in Troon on the west coast of Scotland special.

We have edited down a promotional track from every band who performed at WinterStorm 2024 and created a massive playlist of almost forty multi-cam performances from both stages so why not plan a couple of hours for the coming weekend, get onto that Smart TV, plug in the speakers and sit back and enjoy some amazing performances and wonderful memories of WinterStorm 2024 featuring bands from across the globe and almost as many genres.

Some names and faces you'll recognise others you may not but this playlist is truly wonderful in depth and diversity.

So whether you've been to WinterStorm before or not this is a live rock playlist to match the very best. From NWOBHM to blues; new rock talent to prog, astonishing acoustic, dark metal and classic song along rock tunes too.

Electric Gypsy | Live in Scotland

WinterStorm have always tried to introduce new bands from across the globe wherever and whenever possible. In 2023 Electric Gypsy and their Brazilian colleagues Noturnall blew the Sessions Stage audience away with their power. We also move a couple of bands up to the main stage every year and Electric Gypsy were always going to be one of them if they were in Europe at the right time. They were and this video touches on their passion and talent. Inspired by the '70s perhaps but we caught them rocking in Troon in Scotland in winter 2024 in a place very far from, and much, much colder than, home. A classic WinterStorm video in the making.

Graham Oliver's Army | Dallas 1pm

WinterStorm was really conceived in 1980. It was the time that Ayrshire was benefitting from a host of live events at the Ayr Pavilion from NWOBHM through to blues and classic rock. Saxon didn't play then as I recall but we were only a bus journey up the road to The Apollo and the loudest PA I'd ever heard! So here's the most excellent Graham Oliver's Army playing early Saxon and blowing the audience away once more with Dallas 1pm - Oliver was the guitarist/writer for in the early days and helped shape our listening for years to come! British metal at it's best.

SEVI | The Spell | Live from WinterStorm 24

Over the years, WinterStorm has introduced many "unknown" bands to unsuspecting audiences and this was another one that we were looking forward to. As it transpired this was just as good a live performance as we expected and another fantastic debut artist notched up for WinterStorm. All the way from Bulgaria, Sevi blasted onto the stage and this wonderfully dark and melodic track is drawn from the latest and superb album 'Genesis". We know that we were not the only people in the hall caught under "The Spell".

Tailgunner | Beast in the Night

For those who have never been to WinterStorm there is always some surprise about the way the line up comes out. You see we don;t go with the idea that it needs to be a slow build. It should, MUST be full on from the moment the PA kicks in! So kicking off the Saturday was the over the top, fully energised, up for it Tailgunner rocking the venue from the onset and playing real deal British Heavy Metal with passion and authenticity. If you have never seen them before, then check out the video and look for their tour dates. Great fun and talent.
