WinterStorm Rock Weekender
Introducing Wildfire | 27th - 29th June 2025
In 2024 WinterStorm approached two of Scotland's best independent rock festivals to ask them to curate a night on our Sessions Stage and on the Friday this resulted in a superb line up on the second stage pulled together by The Wildfire team.
It featured This House We Built who combined eclectic influences across their live performances ranging from classic rock, funk, emo, nu-metal and melodic rock (and will be returning to our main stage this year). Shape of Water were an electronic art rock band hailing from Manchester while Brighton's Amongst Liars, hit the audience with their modern rock sound while Those Made Broken an alternative metal band from Glasgow brought a fresh, highly charged sound to their music.
It really was an accurate showcase of what to expect from a whole weekend at the wonderful family friendly festival at the highest village in Scotland, Wanlockhead. Take your tent and pitch it like we did on the old bowling green, dance with the sheep, enjoy some great beers served in the Wanlockhead Inn and just immerse yourself in the talent and diversity of more than thirty rock bands over the three days.
Limited tickets are still available and on sale via the link below.

From Wildfire
"First up for Friday, we are delighted to announce that we have secured an exclusive Scottish date for Finnish rockers Shiraz Lane. With influences coming from the likes of Aerosmith and GnR you know they will entertain and you won't be wrong. They will be joined by an alt rock band from the "mystical Trossachs" going by the name of Bunny and the Badfire. Closing out our Wildfire Festival at the Wanlockhead inn on Friday we will have an exclusive live DJ set from Scotland Rocks Radio DJ, Alan Henderson.
On Saturday we have the Brighton based electronic dance duo, WREX and for this show, they will be bringing a full band just for you. We had a band drop out last year and at the very last minute a new band by the name of Alabama Crow filled the space and we were so glad they did, with a great set they impressed and have been invited back for 2025. Then at the end of Saturday we can all move back into the inn for what will be an electrifying set by High Voltage - UK AC/DC Tribute Band. Having just witnessed them recently in Glasgow you are in for a great Saturday night finale.
So to Sunday with a number of new artists added to the line up including Newcastle lads The Fever Kings, Midlands based No Setting Sun and another band from Newcastle, alt rockers A New Nowhere. We are also delighted to have the brilliant Cry for Mercy making a very welcome return to Wildfire in 2025.
Don't forget all the new artists will be joining the previously announced Black Spiders, This House We Built, AUSTIN GOLD Fahran, Black Lakes, Ashen Reach, Zac and The New Men, Neon Fields, Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse, Marisa And The Moths, XIII Doors, Attic Theory, RattleSnakes0115, Saffron Gorman and The Black Eagle Band, WREX, Molly Karloff, DACARA, WEBB, Wild Fire Scotland , Blue Nicotine, Wailing Banshee and Bright Black
There will still be a few more additions in the future, but please don't delay. We know the smaller grassroots festivals are now competing with some "old school" juggernauts this summer but we are bringing through the next generation and need your support more than ever.
Both weekend and day tickets - which will be strictly limited - are available now from the website.
We look forward to welcome friends old and new to another unique and superb Wildfire Festival and if you want to hear any of these artists then tune in to scotlandrocksradio.com and Altitude Amplified on a Wednesday evening "
