WinterStorm Rock Weekender
Rock fans across the UK and beyond are set to benefit from an exciting new partnership as the WinterStorm, Scotland’s festival of rock joins forces with TotalRock Radio ahead of the 2025 event taking place in November in Troon. This collaboration between Scotland's premier rock weekend and the UK's dedicated rock station will create new opportunities for fans to discover the festival's unique atmosphere and stellar lineup through exclusive content, special features, and comprehensive coverage across TotalRock's platforms. With tickets now available, the partnership aims to bring the WinterStorm experience to rock enthusiasts all over the world.
The partnership marks a significant step forward for the independently run WinterStorm event, which has built a reputation for delivering world-class rock performances in a setting that fans and artists compare to the legendary Glasgow Apollo.
Rock fans will enjoy exclusive WinterStorm content on TotalRock in the months leading up to the November event, including artist interviews, dedicated airplay for performing bands, and special features highlighting the festival's unique appeal. The partnership will also offer listeners exclusive opportunities to win tickets.
Ian McCaig, WinterStorm Festival Director said: "This partnership with TotalRock is about bringing the WinterStorm experience to rock fans everywhere. We've created something special in Troon - a festival with the feeling of those classic rock venues where the connection between artists and audience is key. TotalRock understands what makes that special, and together we'll be able to share that with more rock fans than ever before."
Tony Wilson, (Programme Director?) of TotalRock, added "What drew us to WinterStorm was their absolute commitment to the rock community. This isn't just another festival - it's an event created by rock fans for rock fans, where every detail matters. Our listeners are passionate about authentic rock experiences, and that's exactly what WinterStorm delivers. We're excited to showcase the incredible talent heading to Troon this November and to help more rock fans discover this hidden gem on the festival calendar."
The collaboration will see WinterStorm featured across TotalRock's most popular rock shows, with presenters Dunk McKellar and Neil Jones championing the festival on their respective programmes. Rock fans can expect to hear tracks from confirmed WinterStorm artists, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes content in the months leading up to the event.
TotalRock will also have a presence at the festival itself, bringing the unique atmosphere of WinterStorm's venue at Troon Concert Hall to listeners unable to attend in person through exclusive coverage and artist access.
WinterStorm has established itself as a must-visit event for rock fans, with previous performers including Michael Schenker Group, Skid Row, Dead Daisies, Magnum, and Those Damn Crows. The 2025 event promises another carefully curated line-up spanning classic rock, heavy metal, prog, and the best of new rock talent.
The festival's famous 'StormTroopers' volunteer team and commitment to quality local food and drink offerings will return, ensuring the event maintains its reputation for exceptional fan experiences in a friendly, intimate setting.
